Volume2 works on 32 and 64-bit versions of Windows XP, Vista,7 and 8 and there are no hardware requirements, most likely because it’s a small application with low memory usage. Setting the program to run at Windows startup and opting out of “Show standards volume icon in notification area” will make Volume2 replace the default Windows sound management tool completely .
